I've been tracking my most popular posts and in three years in a row it's been, "Being Treated Like A Lady". I'm not surprised at all by it due to what I see on a day to day basis; at work, at the stores and on the internet for examples.
I see and hear SOME (not all) women basically throwing themselves at men who could care less about respecting them or who they are as a person. Ladies be comfortable with yourself, respect yourself, know yourself and never compromise yourself!!! We all as humans go through some form of self doubt at sometime in our lives, it's natural but should be very limited.
YOU decide how anyone treats you and how you treat yourself! It's true. I went through years of an abusive relationship and self doubt, one day I woke up and decided enough is enough...I'm better than this! I have to make a change today for a better tomorrow. From that moment on I never accepted anyone to treat me any less than I treat myself or others, with respect and worthiness.
I can't stand to see women show their "goods" on the Internet for "Likes" from people who know nothing about who they are other than a nice piece of ass...Yes, I said it. Stop it! A beautiful body is great, a beautiful face is wonderful...a beautiful heart is irreplaceable! In the end, what do you really believe you accomplished with all the ass hanging out pics posted on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc? Lack of respect and a bunch of hard up men trying to get some of what you're showing. If you're happy showing your stuff and how others treat you then be happy...I'm not judging just trying to help someone. Remember, our children - Your children are impressionable and will keep the cycle going on what you teach them is right.
Also, acting like a lady will assist. I don't do dishes in heels and a dress, be real. I love my Nike's and sweat pants, throw my hair up in a messy knot, watch basketball, play rough...Trust me I have a smart ass sarcastic mouth and a punch that would shake a jaw...but know when to dress it up and behave like a lady. I don't flaunt my assets for the world to see, I respect others, I keep my house clean, can cook up a good meal and always take care of my family. I'm not perfect but I'm happy with who I am.
Start there, know who you are...accept and respect who you are and others will follow. Give it and get it. Stop complaining about things you can change and change it!
Alright, I'm done preaching for now.

Fractions are the Devil!
With three kids, one in high school, a third grader and a kindergartner I am constantly helping with homework. I don't know about you but after a long day at work and cooking dinner all I want to do is sit and vegetate on the sofa with a magazine or watch an old episode of Friends. Of course that never happens.
I can swing the kindergarten homework as I cook but the other two make me feel stupid at times...especially the math...eeek! Fractions are the devil and don't even get me started with algebra! I left all that knowledge behind me that's for sure. I've always done better with literature and arts. I used to believe I could go on the tv game show "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?" Hecks no I ain't smarter, I'm a worn out overworked mommy who's braincells deplenish with each episode of Spongebob that airs.
Now bring me a project that needs to be done and I Got This! Move over kid this is where I shine! Bring on anything where I can craft up something super cool and I get excited running out to the craft store, ok and I can get a little bossy too. But remember this is where I get to show the kids Mommy's skills with their help.
So far this year none of the kids have come home with a project for "us" to do. I'm itching to get busy on a super duper, over the top, exploding volcano. Mwwwahhhh!

Sip and Chill My Friends!
I'm not much of a drinker, okay I'm a serious lightweight truthfully! I am not one who likes strong liquor at all and refuse the taste of beer, Yeah, you got it, I'm a pain in the ass when it comes to drinking!
I do enjoy a Smirnoff mixed drink from time to time. Especially love the Cranberry Lime Smirnoff. But I have to say that I really enjoy the Dailey's frozen pouches. The fact that they are not too strong and I can freeze them are great! At $1.99 a pouch you can't beat it. No measuring or blender involved...perfect for me and keeping some in te freezer when I have guests.
If you haven't tried one yet you should! May I suggest the Dailey's Frozen Lemonade. I was just checking out their website and they are having a Photo Sweepstakes. Dailey's Cocktails 7 Perfect Days, Grand Prize is $1,000 gift card to SpaFinder.com!
So you all know, I am in no way affiliated with Dailey's nor am I being compensated in any way for my blog post/mention of the sweepstakes etc. I just enjoy the product and wanted to share!

Walking in Style Now!
For the next six weeks my middle child will be stuck in what they call Series Casts. It's the same casting they would use if you broke a bone but in her case it is to help her stretch out her tendons to reduce toe walking. They will change the position of her ankles every two weeks and recast three times.
This will probably be the longest six weeks of her life being stuck in these casts. Thankfully now a days there is color selection, her first pick was pink and white (which glows in the dark!). She's adapting to walking and getting around in them quickly. When doing so she needs to wear those moon shoe looking boots which are quite well...Blah!
So I decided it would be fun to spice them up a little bit! I went to my local craft store and voila! This is what she's sporting now!
Her confidence boosted automatically! I used iron ons and fabric paint. I hope this helps speed up her six weeks. She's wearing them more and trying to get around more than before. Girls need a little BAM sometimes!
So next time your child (hope you won't have to but..) is stuck in cast boots spice them up! Have fun with it, the casts aren't they only thing you can personalize.
