National Breast Cancer Month

Most of us are all aware that we should get an annual mammogram on top of doing our own monthly self examinations. Do we all do it? Of course not, there are times when us moms forget where we left our head at because we all have so much on our plate as is. All kidding aside, this is one real serious topic ladies and gentlemen (yes, men can get Breast Cancer too).

Not only for us but for our loved ones as well. What would happen to our lovely children, husbands, siblings, best friends and more if we didn't take care of ourselves? Hmmmm, I don't even want to pass that thought through my mind right now.

I want you to check out this website National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There is so much useful information available including where to go in order to receive a FREE and LOW COST MAMMOGRAMS...yup, so there's NO EXCUSE for not getting one if you are due or never had one and your in your 30's or later.

Why am I preaching you ask? Well, just about two years ago I found a large lump in my left breast and after going through many tests, a mammogram, ultra sound and even though I am claustrophobic two MRIs. All is well, they (yes more than one lump was found by the docs) were not cancerous. But I am not going to count my chickens before they hatch, I will schedule my annual mammogram and be a good girl because I want to annoy this world for a much longer time. I hope you do the same.

  2. I am a huge "touch your boobies" advocate.....like you, I have had a few lumps removed that were suspicious, but Praise God they were not cancer. I am all about reminding everyone to get that boobie squish done every year. :)

  3. Thank you lovely ladies for the great comments. I was always one to put my own health to the side but finally realize that I need to be healthy in order to care for everyone I love.

    God Bless.
